2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Night special edition
By Karla Thornhill Coleman
The LA Auto Show (http://laautoshow.com) in sunny California kicks off this week and the Jeep® brand will be rolling out two new special-edition models: one for city dwellers with a little performance racing in their blood, and another for those who embrace the “backcountry” life.
The new 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night combines performance, premium and little touch of luxury in an already popular SUV. Harnessing the black appearance of stealth and intrigue, the Night Package has a Gloss Black roof, rear spoiler, front grille bezels, B and C pillars and side window, and the front applique, badge on the hood, rear liftgate, and new lightweight, split five-spoke “5Ten” 20-inch wheels are all in Satin Black. Inside, there are Black Laguna leather with Silver accent stitching and Light Black Chrome bezels. This package comes in three colors, Velvet Red, Billet Silver and Granite Crystal.
Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night features a standard 6.4-liter V-8 engine with Fuel Saver Technology that delivers 475 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque, an adaptive damping suspension and a Selec-Track Traction Control system.
While the Grand Cherokee Night is designed to blend in to any city setting, if you live in the Midwest during the winter months, you may want to take a close look at the 2016 Wrangler Backcountry.

Off-road enthusiast or not, when the snow is deep and the drifts are even higher, the Jeep brand’s specially designed winter-themed road warrior, may be the answer. With many of the capable off-road features that the Wrangler is already known for, 17-inch Rubicon wheels and standard Rubicon rock rails and Sahara side steps, it’s a customized off-roader right from the factory floor.
Wrangler Backcountry is available in five colors: Hydro Blue, Black, Bright White, Granite Crystal and Xtreme Purple, a package exclusive color that should really stand out in the snow.
